Strobl Pumps received the order to deliver 3 pcs. large submersible pumps AWPT-K6 150-315 with submersible motor 90 kW, 2900 min-1, IP 68. Together with our Chinese partner company Hauken Engineering Co. Ltd. in San Po Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong, we made every effort to secure the contract for our company. The submersible pumps are used in the context of flood protection to protect the theme and entertainment park against heavy rain or flooding. The units are set up dry (flood-proof) and are therefore equipped with a new, internal electric motor cooling system. Each unit has a total height of about 2.400 mm with a weight of about 1.500 kg. Delivery to the customer is scheduled for mid 2018. This order is another important step in the expansion of our sewage pump series AWP. It is our first order in the context of large infrastructure projects. The theme and entertainment park in Hong Kong was opened in 1977 and is the fourth largest leisure and amusement park in Asia with approximately 8 million visitors annually.
