With pump regulation to research

At the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology a heat laboratory (hybrid heat pump and storage assembly) is being built. In this laboratory multiple technologies can be examined separately and boarded together based on a CO2 heat pump, an adsorption circuits and a heat storage.

The project aim is to find the foundation for a typical thermal rating of around 100 kW to address applications for the energy transition in heating. This can be applications in the food industry, within geothermal energy or other industrial applications, in which temperature levels need to be adapted energy efficient and a heat storage is required.

Due to the special requirements of flexibility of the components, a wide regulation range of the pump performance is of highest importance for use within the heat laboratory.

To fulfil these requirements our chemical standard pumps series CNP from stainless steel and equipped with VFD are being used. This pump series is produced to ISO 2858/5199 and can pump flows of up to 750 m³/h.
